Automature was founded with a vision to promote a new kind of software quality management, that was geared towards providing relevant and timely information to all stakeholders in the organization, by moving away from a bug-centric universe to a coverage-driven view. Too many software QA organizations still rely on the bug-count metric as the primary decision driver in determining release readiness, and ignore other metrics that are essential to make informed decisions, mainly because those metrics are difficult to provide in today's spreadsheet driven manual tracking and reporting environment. We feel that this lack of information is similar to being asked to fly an aeroplane, with the fuel gauge as the only display on your dashboard. Our mission is to enable the automated collection of environmental datapoints, so that we can provide you with a more comprehensive set of displays on your quality dashboard.
We realize you might wonder, that, with the number of automated testing tools available on the market, there is no need for yet another tool. The sad reality is that these tools are poor at leveraging significant investments you may already have done. The main creative effort in your testing is coming up with a comprehensive set of test scenarios. Almost all tools available on the market force you to write logic in the language supported by them, in order to make use of features contained in their custom libraries. Our approach is different. We allow your test logic to be independent of the custom libraries you use underneath, thus giving you the freedom to mix and match anybody's toolset, while retaining reuse of your main investment, i.e. your test case logic.
This architecture allows you to leverage more of your existing scripts, while giving you access to dashboards and organized storage of your test data
